Role: Data Engineer. Location: Doha, Qatar. Duration: Yearly Renewable Contract. Key responsibilities: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT); Build and manage vector databases and knowledge bases; Integrate enterprise data sources and ensure data quality; Optimize data storage and retrieval for AI use cases; Collaborate with AI teams on data requirements. Required skills: Strong Python and SQL; Experience with Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks); Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases; Experience with Vector DBs (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.); Understanding of data modeling and pipeline orchestration; Experience with LLM data prep, embeddings and RAG; Exposure to Azure OpenAI or similar AI platforms; Familiarity with GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).
