Digital bank built from scratch in Tokyo. Hiring two senior QA profiles with Abbeal. QA Engineer (3–7 yrs) and Lead QA Engineer (7+ yrs, 2+ leading a team). Responsibilities include working with Product, Risk and Compliance, challenging Japanese banking specifications, ensuring business rules are covered before code is written. Ownership includes KYC/AML, payments, ledger, JFSA reporting with traceability business rules to test cases to regulatory evidence. Modern stack: Playwright, Python/TS, Databricks, dbt, Great Expectations, k6, GitHub Actions, AWS Tokyo. AI-assisted workflow with Claude Code, Copilot, ChatGPT used daily. Work arrangement: 1–2 days on-site Tamachi, rest remote. Requirements: bilingual Japanese (JLPT N2+; native preferred) and business-level English; already based in Japan (no visa sponsorship). Open compensation guidelines: QA Engineer 700k–900k JPY/month freelance or 7M–9M JPY/year permanent; Lead QA 1.1M–1.4M JPY/month freelance or 11M–14M JPY/year permanent.
