We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for London, UK (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite / 3 Days Remote) on a 1-Year Fixed Term Contract. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions; building and optimizing ETL/ELT data pipelines; contributing to architecture and data modelling strategies; implementing metadata management, data governance, and data quality frameworks; monitoring and improving stability, scalability, and performance; developing automated testing and deployment processes; and supporting cloud-native data services and workflow orchestration frameworks. Required skills include 12+ years of experience in Python and data engineering; expertise in AWS (Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, Glue, EMR, Athena, EventBridge, Lake Formation); experience with Snowflake; hands-on experience with Apache Spark and/or Apache Iceberg; workflow orchestration tools (Apache Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or DBT); metadata management/data catalog tools (Amundsen, Atlas, DataHub, OpenDataDiscovery, Marquez); CI/CD practices; and familiarity with PostgreSQL (plus).
