Hiring: GCP Data Engineer to support a major data transformation and cloud migration programme in a highly regulated environment. Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid, 2 days onsite per week). Rate: Circa 575/day (Inside IR35). Duration: Initial 6-month contract. Start Date: ASAP. Visa sponsorship not available. Key skills required: Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.), DBT, Cloud Composer or Apache Airflow, Python, Terraform, legacy platform migration experience. Responsibilities: Design and build scalable data pipelines on GCP; migrate legacy data platforms and regulatory use cases to GCP; develop transformation workflows using DBT; orchestrate pipelines with Cloud Composer; write reusable Python code for automation and processing; implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Nice to have: large-scale data transformation programmes, CI/CD and DevOps exposure, background in banking/finance/regulatory environments.
