Our top 5 banking client is looking for a Data Scientist. Contract duration until October 31, 2026 with possible extension or conversion to FTE. Hybrid in downtown Toronto with 3-4 days/week onsite. Candidate Requirements: 10+ years’ proven experience as Data Scientist or Analyst with at least 5+ within banking or capital calculations; 5+ years’ proficiency in SQL for complex data querying and performance optimization; 2+ years hands-on experience with Python; experience with large structured and unstructured datasets; solid grounding in statistics, data analysis, and predictive modeling. Nice-To-Have: knowledge of regulatory frameworks and reporting; familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau; basic understanding of LLMs and AI tools like CoPilot.
