Hiring two senior QA profiles with Abbeal: QA Engineer (3–7 yrs) and Lead QA Engineer (7+ yrs, 2+ leading a team). Work with Product, Risk and Compliance to challenge Japanese banking specifications and ensure business rules are covered before code is written. Own quality for KYC/AML, payments, ledger, and JFSA reporting with traceability between business rules, test cases, and regulatory evidence. Modern stack includes Playwright, Python/TypeScript, Databricks, dbt, Great Expectations, k6, GitHub Actions, and AWS Tokyo. AI-assisted workflow uses Claude Code, Copilot, and ChatGPT. Location: 1–2 days on-site in Tamachi, rest remote. Requirements: already based in Japan, bilingual Japanese (JLPT N2+; native preferred) and business-level English; no visa sponsorship. Compensation: QA Engineer 700k–900k JPY/month freelance or 7M–9M JPY/year permanent; Lead QA 1.1M–1.4M JPY/month freelance or 11M–14M JPY/year permanent. Abbeal payroll or freelance via Abbeal.
